Lay Practitioners

No requirements. Just practice!

This is where everyone starts on the Buddhist path. There's no commitment required and no cost. Just show up for practice at the frequency that suits your life and circumstances. You may call yourself a Buddhist - or not! 

Take the first five Buddhist precepts. 

This is where many people start to think of themselves as Buddhists – either in terms of philosophy, religion, or both. You take the first five ethical vows and do your best to live up to that moral code moment by moment.

Take the first eight Buddhist precepts.

This is for people who have no desire to be ordained but still want to be of service to the group. You take the first five precepts and start helping out. You might arrive early or stay late to tidy up the space, greet new people, etc.
